Suzanne Pleshette

 

Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on the 19th of January the 19th of January, 2008. She was an American actress, voiceactress, film, television and theatre director. Pleshette began her career in the theater and started appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s. She then appeared in some of the most acclaimed films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she was featured in different television productions, and frequently appeared in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley from 1972 to 1978 on the Bob Newhart show, on which she was awarded a number of Emmy Award nominations.
